Lumberjack
Marching Band Auditions

Color
Guard
Visit
the Color Guard page for more information
on Color Guard auditions.
Twirl-O-Jacks
Twirl-O-Jack auditions are usually held
in March on campus. All interested twirlers must audition in person
for a panel of judges.
Percussion
Positions on the Drumline are by audition
only. Auditions occur each Fall at the beginning of the season. During
the first week of band, before school starts, all percussionists report
early to audition for the Drumline and Pit. Regardless of the results
of your audition, we will work with you to find a place for you in
the Lumberjack Band. All percussionists must attend camp to be a member
of the percussion section. Parents, please plan your vacations around
these dates. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but must have all
members of the line present for all rehearsals. Percussion audition
music is issued at the beginning of the summer. Get on our mailing
list to make sure that you are "in the loop."
Winds
There are no auditions neccesary for membership as a wind player in
the Lumberjack Marching Band. However, if you play Piccolo, Clarinet,
Saxophone, Trumpet, Mellophone, or Trombone there is a brief part
audition to determine what part you should play. The part auditions
take place in August after you have arrived on campus and are based
on music that you will receive over the summer. Visit the link
to be placed on our mailing list to receive
the first summer mailer.
