Lumberjack Band Alumni Association
"Chips off the ol' block"

The Lumberjack Band Alumni Association exists to give former members of the SFA Band a way to support the band of their alma mater. LBAA has provided scholarships for several students throughout the years. In the past few years, LBAA has provided the first meal to band students who have arrived to the campus early for summer band practice.

Membership in the Lumberjack Band Alumni Association is extended to anyone who has been a member of the SFA Band Program. There are two levels of membership:

In 2002, with a great deal of work by Randy Dawson and Glenn Wells, in partnership with the SFA Alumni Association, the first golf tournament was held. It was designed to raise funds for band scholarships. The 2003 golf tournament proved once again that alumni can be counted on to raise money for the band program while having a lot of fun!

He was the first inductee into the SFA Band Director's Hall of Fame in 1979. When this scholarship fund receives enough donation to reach endowment level, it will go to an outstanding member of the SFA Band Program.

Though the LBAA does not yet have its own web site, for the time being you can send messages to the organization through the SFA Band Office at: Lumberjackband@sfasu.edu

If you send a message to us through that address, be sure you mention you are an alumnus, as we use that address for prospective students, too.

All members of the Lumberjack Band: we need your help! Students attending college need financial support, and this organization can help current members only if you join!
