Spring 2008 Band Auditions

Auditions are required for these three concert bands.

Wind Ensemble	MTWTh 3:00 - 4:10	MUP 135.001 (MUP 335.001 - upper level credit)
Wind Symphony	MTWTh 4:10 - 5:30	MUP 135.004 (MUP 335.004 - upper level credit)
Symphonic Band	MWF 12:00 - 12:50	MUP 135.002 (MUP 335.002 - upper level credit)

There is no audition required to enroll in University Band, MUP 135.003 (or 335.003). It meets Tuesday evenings, 7:00 - 9:15. This audition information does not apply to University Band. Do you miss playing in band? The University Band may be right for You!

REQUIRED TEXT: Members of all three bands must provide their own copy of "Foundations for Superior Performance," by Richards Williams and Jeff King. It is published by Kjos Music and available at many larger music stores. You should take care of this now, because they are not available in Nacogdoches.

REQUIRED DRESS for all three bands: men - tux with white shirt/black bow tie, women - long black dress (preferred), skirt or nice slacks (not jeans or cotton “Docker” type pants). With skirt or slacks, a black blouse or top that fully overlaps or tucks in the skirt/slacks.

Percussion has three pages to download. Percussionists will also have a short sight-reading excerpt.
