WELCOME to the 2009 Chamber Music in the Pines Festival Web page! I hope that you are able to join us this August for an exciting series of concerts! Each concert will focus on an important musical trend, or movement, in music history: Romanticism, Impressionism, Nationalism, and Classicism. In addition to our talented faculty musicians, we are pleased to welcome guest artists Ivo Ivanov (violin) and Cornelia Demian (viola) to the festival. Also, we are delighted to have pianists Drs. John and Jean Roberts performing with us this year. Dr. John Roberts will join us in the fall as director of the School of Music. He and his wife are both accomplished artists who previously taught at Mercer University. We are looking forward to some wonderful music making, and hope to see you at the festival!
