Special Activities of the FRIENDS OF MUSIC
The FRIENDS OF MUSIC sponsor several important events each year:
THE EXTRAVAGANZA - annual banquet/dance at the end of the spring that showcases the best performers in the School of Music as they receive honors and scholarship awards
MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS Program - bringing a School of Music ensemble to every elementary school in Nacogdoches one year and in Nacogdoches County schools outside the city the next
DINNER THEATRE Programs - special fund raising events for specific areas of the School of Music
RECEPTIONS - special events to honor faculty and student performers and raise funding for student scholarships
CIRCLE OF HONOR DINNER - annual event to honor special music patrons
